Come on in and meet The Fixies!

12-year old Simka is the best student in her class at Fixie School. She is almost encyclopedic in her memory of how things works and she loves sharing that knowledge with Tom Thomas and her little brother, Nolik. While her loveable little brother, Nolik, finds her a bit bossy at times, Simka is a great sister and a tenacious, quick-thinking problem-solver, ready to spring into action for anyone in need.

Nolik is Simka’s six-year-old younger brother and Tom Thomas’ best friend. There's a lot he still doesn't know about how things work, but that doesn’t stop him from jumping head first into things he probably shouldn't. Unfortunately that can get him into trouble he often can’t escape without the help of his Fixie friends.,It’s not that Nolik’s a troublemaker, he's just extremely curious.

Papus is Simka and Nolik’s father. He is a Fixie of the highest degree, a master of all trades. His talent shines in critical situations. Papus is always ready to perform a heroic deed. He’s the kind of Fixie that turns into a screw not only to hide, but to hold together an appliance that’s falling apart with the strength of Atlas.

Masiya is Papus’ wife and the mother of Simka and Nolik. A kind and gentle soul, Masiya is an extremely skilled Fixie who specializes in small appliances and electronics. She just loves when everything is in perfect working order. But most important for Masiya are her children. She takes loving care of them and tries to protect them from harm.

Grandpus, the grandfather of Simka and Nolik, is a long-lived Fixie whose appearance is quite different from the rest. He doesn’t wear the standard coveralls. He has the look of a past generation of Fixies, Fixies that were born from little pieces of the souls of master craftsmen. Grandpus is fastidious and stern, a teacher who imparts his expert knowledge of machinery, Fixie history, traditions and moral codes with great gusto during his lessons at Fixie School.

Fire is one of Simka’s classmates in Fixie School. Considered by his classmates to be the engine of the class, Fire is the fastest, nimblest, and arguably the bravest, or maybe more accurately, reckless Fixie in the bunch. Always on the lookoutfor adventure, new ideas just burn inside of his head! And Fire’s energy is contagious.

Verda is the most popular kid in Fixie School. She is a natural leader, someone who won’t take “no” for an answer. Verda is always able to motivate her Fixie friends into action. She can be difficult and even a bit vain at times, but one thing’s for sure – Verda’s a true friend who can be counted on when things get tough.

Toola is the “soul” of her Fixie class. Cheerful, kind, honest and trusting, she is always trying her best to make sure her friends are getting along. Toola loves to laugh. She is also very superstitious and can be easily frightened. It’s almost impossible to get into a fight with Toola because she never gets offended. What’s the point? It’s always better to be friends than to fight.

Digit is the smartest kid in Fixie School, a great student that Grandpus is proud to have in his class! No one understands technology better than he does and if something breaks, Digit can always figure out exactly what's wrong with it and the very best way to fix it. Unfortunately Digit can have problems putting his theory into practice. His friends respect him, but they can tease him at times about his clumsiness.

CHEWSOCKA

Chewsocka is the family's pet Chihuahua who sees herself as a real guard dog fervently carrying out her duty to protect her family against lurking dangers, and in particular, the Fixies themselves. Chewsocka considers it her duty to use her super canine sense of smell to hunt the tiny creatures down. So far her repeated attempts have yielded nothing but frustration, but that won't stop her from trying again!

Tom Thomas is an ordinary ten-year-old boy with big dreams, an inquisitive mind, and a real sense of fun. He deeply values his secret friendship with Simka and Nolik. He understands the importance of keeping the Fixies' existence secret, and he hasn't told a soul about them, not even his best friends at school. (Well, once he did accidently let it slip out in front of his parents, but they didn't believe him. "That kid - always dreaming. ")

ELISA

Elisa, the dedicated and admiring assistant or Professor Eugenius, is unaware of the existence of Fixies and is convinced the lab is haunted, a fear that Nolik and Fire are all to happy to exploit in the form of mischievous fun!

Buggy

A friendly insect who lives in the laboratory of Professor Eugenius, Buggy has become like a pet for the Fixie kids.

EUGENIUS

A dear old friend of Grandpus, Professor Eugenius is a very talented scientist who, like Tom Thomas, keeps his knowledge of the Fixies a secret. In his job as a product tester, Professor Eugenius uses his laboratory’s battery of diagnostic equipment to check the quality of products sent in for his expert review. A kind, but rather absentminded man who loves science and dreams of being a great inventor, Professor Eugenius has let his Fixie friends set up their school in his lab.
